Project Drop Top Bullitt is mostly patched up now after spending some time in the shop. I wish the money had gone towards real upgrades, but it's a daily driver so it has to be kept running. Quarter window motor fixed. That was an ordeal. After going through multiple vendors and motors, the shop stripped the guts out of a new motor and installed them into my old motor's housing. All of the replacement motor housings had a fitment issue. Two new tires were in order due to getting a bubble in the sidewall of one of my tires. Word of advice; always purchase the Discount Tire's extra warranty unless you are selling the car immediately. I really only had to pay for one tire and the installation fees. My ABS module was replaced. Big thanks to MPS Auto Salvage out of GA. They specialize in Mustangs from 1987 on up. Ford no longer produces or has the ABS module for Drop Top Bullitt. It's rare that the module ever goes out. MAybe a sensor, but the module, nah. Of course it happens to my Mustang. Anyways, MPS had one in stock that looked like it was new out of the box. Very reasonable price with shipping. I found them on Instagram, and inquired about the part. I got a very quick response and Bryan was super helpful. They have earned a customer that will be returning. @MPSAutoSalvage. If you own a Mustang, you'll want to follow them. Last but not least is the air conditioning. It is partially fixed temporarily. What I mean is I need a new compressor. Recharged, I'm getting cooling from the defrost area and feet, but nothing from the vents. The shop put the dye in during the recharge and when I went back the compressor lit up nuclear green. That means it's leaking freon when in use and soon enough I will have no cooling at all. For me cooling is mostly important when stuck in traffic under the scorching Sun, it's just too hot to have the top down, and during rain. Project Drop Top Bullitt will be getting a black horse. I’m thinking about blacking out the factory rims for Winter use as well.
